John Barlow serves as the executive director of Somerset Academy of Las Vegas. He has been a part of the Somerset family since 2013 when he opened Sky Ponte Middle/High School as its first principal. Mr. Barlow previously served as a teacher and administrator for the Clark County School District for 23 years. He opened Del Sol and Sunrise Mountain High Schools as their founding principal. Mr. Barlow also worked within the central offices of the Clark County School District in the offices of Government Affairs and Educational Leadership. His outreach as an instructional leader extends to educational systems in their school improvement journeys. He has lead school accreditation teams for over a decade both within the state of Nevada and abroad in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Barlow is the proud father of five children (one son and four daughters) and 15 grandchildren. He loves spending time with the family and taking camping trips to the Oregon coast. Mrs. Pam Barlow is an educator for the Clark County School District and currently teaches sixth grade science at Garrett Middle School in Boulder City where she and Mr. Barlow raised their five children. |
